Troubleshooting

Solutions to common problems

Connection Issues

The plugin shows "Not connected"

Possible causes
1
Incorrect or poorly copied token

Check that there are no spaces before/after the token

2
Expired or regenerated token

Check on your SaaS dashboard that the token is still valid

3
Different site URL

The URL in WordPress must exactly match the one registered on wapigpt.ai

Solution: Regenerate the token from wapigpt.ai and reconfigure it in WordPress.

"SSL Certificate Problem" error

Your server doesn't have a valid SSL certificate or it's self-signed.

Solution:

  1. Install a valid SSL certificate (Let's Encrypt is free)
  2. Check that the WordPress URL uses https://

"Connection Timeout" error

The Wapi server is not accessible from your hosting.

Check:

  • Your host doesn't block outgoing connections
  • The firewall doesn't block API calls
  • api.wapigpt.ai is accessible (port 443)

Execution Issues

The requested action is disabled in permissions.

Solution:

  1. Go to Wapi > Settings > Security
  2. Enable the relevant action
  3. Save the changes

"Quota exceeded"

You've exhausted your monthly WU.

Options: Upgrade to a higher plan, buy WUX, or wait for monthly renewal.

"Too many requests"

You're performing too many operations at once.

Solution: Wait a moment before trying again.

"Connection error"

The system couldn't connect to your WordPress site.

Check that:

  • Your WordPress site is online and accessible
  • The Wapi plugin is activated
  • Your host doesn't block connections
  • There's no conflict with another security plugin

Solution:

  1. Check that your site responds correctly
  2. Check the plugin logs in Wapi > Logs
  3. Contact support if the problem persists

SEO Issues

"SEO Plugin not detected"

Wapi didn't find Yoast SEO or Rank Math.

Solution:

  1. Install and activate a supported SEO plugin
  2. Clear the WordPress cache
  3. Retry the SEO command

The link map is empty

Not enough internal links or recently published posts.

Solution:

  1. Check that you have published posts
  2. Wait for the cache to refresh (24h)
  3. Force regeneration via the plugin dashboard
