What is a WU?
A WU (Wapi Unit) is the credit unit used by Wapi to measure action consumption. Each executed command consumes a certain number of WU based on its complexity.
Consumption by action type
Wapi actions consume WU based on their complexity and impact on your WordPress site. Here are the different categories:
Configuration actions (0 WU)
Cost: Free
Connection tests, site status verification, and initial setup. These actions consume no credits.
Consultation actions (1 WU)
Cost: Low (1 WU)
View your content without modification:
- View your posts, pages, and media
- List your categories, tags, and taxonomies
- Search through your content
- View your installed plugins and themes
- Add text to an existing post
Creation and modification actions (2 WU)
Cost: Medium (2 WU)
Content creation, modification, and deletion:
- Create or edit posts and pages
- Manage your media (upload, edit, delete)
- Export your content
- Manage metadata and taxonomies
Advanced actions (3+ WU)
Cost: High (3 WU or more)
Complex operations and in-depth analysis:
- Complete SEO audits of your content
- Plugin and theme updates
- Thumbnail regeneration and optimizations
- Complete exports (variable cost based on volume)
Note: Large exports consume more WU based on the amount of data processed.
